About The Position

Centinela Hospital Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical/Surgical unit (7E). Requirements

Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California.
BCLS upon hire and maintain current.
Patient Assessment, Critical thinking, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides direct care in the medical – surgical setting.
Under the direction of the Nursing Department Leadership Team, formulates a plan of care to meet the identified needs of the patient/family unit using the nursing process.
Consistently monitors and evaluates patient outcomes and modifies plan of care.
Participates in the coordination of continuum of care.
Able to responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
As appropriate, communicates with physicians, Nurse Director, and co-workers, about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for the plan of care.
Collaborates with other health professionals to coordinate, monitor and direct patient care.
Meets patient/family needs in a cost effective manner through efficient use of resources.
