Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg
About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General 6K Medicine Unit is hiring for a Registered Nurse for a Temporary Traveler Position! This is a Temporary Full Time, 14-week assignment for a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) on the Medical/Surgical unit. The unit is a beautiful, brand new 24 bed Medicine unit with new computers in every room and charting stations in hallways with windows to visualize patients. It features blood pressure machines that integrate with EPIC for Real Time Documentation. The patient population includes cardiac, cardiac prep, renal failure, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, sickle cell, OR-Prep, and diverse wound care.
Requirements
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale
- 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients on the Medical/Surgical unit.
- Utilize new computers in patient rooms and charting stations.
- Operate blood pressure machines that integrate with EPIC for Real Time Documentation.
- Care for a diverse patient population including cardiac, renal failure, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, sickle cell, and wound care patients.
