About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Med Surg for a 13-week travel assignment in Petoskey, MI. This position requires a nurse with at least 2 years of straight med-surg experience, not including float, SDU/TELE, etc. Level II or I - Trauma level experience is required. The role involves collaborating with the health care team to develop and implement patient care plans, seeking continuous learning, demonstrating leadership, effective communication, and strong time management skills. The assignment is for nights, 36 hours per week, with an expected start date of 6/15/2026. A strict 3-strike attendance policy is in effect.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of straight med surg experience (not float, not SDU/TELE, etc.)
  • Must be straight RN MS
  • Level II or I - Trauma level experience is required
  • BLS (AHA) is required
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Michigan license verification is required (LARA and Nursys)
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with other members of the health care team to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized written plan of care based upon a physiological, psychosocial, spiritual assessment consistent with patient/significant other’s changing needs & goals, utilizing the Clinical Practice Model (CPM) and the “Caring-Quality Model.”
  • Seeks life-long learning through certification, advanced practice, higher education, and literature review.
  • Demonstrates leadership through sharing of knowledge, being a clinical resource, and professional role model.
  • Demonstrates effective communication through collegial relationships, SBAR, and interdisciplinary communication.
