Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg
About The Position
This 24-bed acute care unit specializes in medical-surgical, orthopedic, surgical, and trauma care, serving primarily surgical and orthopedic patients. Operating 24/7 year-round, the unit requires teammates to participate in holiday and weekend rotations. The average daily census is 24 patients, with an average length of stay of 3–4 days. Nurse-to-patient ratios typically run at 5:1, while nursing assistants maintain a 6:1 ratio. The unit values teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Known for its strong sense of camaraderie and innovation, the team functions like a family, working together to deliver high-quality care. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in orthopedic or surgical care is a plus, but not required.

- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
