The Registered Nurse (RN) reports to the Unit Manager and Director of Nursing. This role is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the total nursing care of assigned patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation. The RN also delegates to and supervises student nurses, nursing assistants, and licensed practical nurses, assists in the orientation of new staff and clinical supervision of nursing students, and contributes to achieving patient quality of care, national patient safety, regulatory agency, and budgetary goals.
