About The Position
The Registered Nurse Med/Surg is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients. This role requires proficiency in trauma/surgical and medical-surgical care, with the ability to manage a diverse patient population on a trauma surgical unit.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months experience in MedSurg and/or ICU with EPIC or Cerner experience required.
- BLS and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
- Must possess skills in IV starts, wound care, and use of Cerner or EPIC EMR systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide wound care, manage chest tubes, and administer medications.
- Perform patient assessments and document care accurately.
- Assist with patient ADLs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
- Interpret telemetry and confirm strip readings every 4 hours.
