About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Telemetry for a 13-week travel assignment in Morristown, VT. The role involves the delivery of age-specific, direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and adhering to the Department of Nursing Standards of Patient Care and Specialty Specific Standards of Patient Care. The RN will assume leadership responsibilities, including delegating work to other employees, and must ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing healthcare provision.

Requirements

1+ years minimum of RN experience in a hospital setting is required
ACLS is required
BLS/BCLS is required
PALS is required
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
Drug screen and background check (facility required)

Nice To Haves

Travel experience is highly preferred
ACLS, BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and de-escalation training are required to be active prior to contract start date. If not, there needs to be a booked course at time of Clinical Orientation (beginning of assignment).

Responsibilities

Using electrocardiogram (EKG) machines to track heart performance continuously
Analyzing EKG results to establish baselines and spot abnormalities
Recording EKG results to keep patient information accurate
Overseeing stress tests to assess patients’ heart function
Delivering emergency medical care when patients suffer heart attacks or other life-threatening problems
Overseeing and coordinating the activities of telemetry technicians and other staff in their units
Administering medications and other treatments ordered by physicians
Educating patients on lifestyle changes and ongoing treatments before discharge from the hospital
