Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Tele
About The Position
This position requires a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 18 months of recent experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry. The candidate must possess at least 18 months of permanent Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience. A valid permanent Ohio license or a compact state license is mandatory and must be in hand. Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Travelers are expected to work at least every other holiday. During orientation, the nurse will complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments, and an acceptable score on both is required for continued employment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
- Minimum of 18 months PERM Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
- PERM Ohio License or Compact State License in hand.
- AHA BLS certification.
- AHA ACLS certification.
- Acceptable score on ECG rhythm recognition test during orientation.
- Acceptable score on safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit.
- Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members.
- Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments.
- Work holidays as scheduled (for travelers).
