About The Position

We are seeking a Medical Surgical Telemetry RN, internally referred to as our Med/Tele RN, working in both the Med-Surg and Telemetry departments. A dedicated nurse specializing in attending to patients within Med/Surg units, especially those needing cardiac monitoring. Our RN is instrumental in overseeing the safety, comfort, and overall well-being of individuals needing cardiac surveillance during their hospitalization. Shift’s Available: Nights. Employment Type: Full Time. Hours: 12hr Shifts. Located in the center of the Texas Panhandle, Pampa Regional Medical Center is a 25-bed critical-access hospital serving our communities with a full range of surgical and medical services. Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
  • Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
  • Ventilator Management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, which allows for remote monitoring of patients' heart rates and rhythms.
  • Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
  • Provide hands-on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional support.
