Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Med/Surg 5 Intermediate Care Unit at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center – West Bank Campus in Minneapolis, MN. The Med/Surg IMC RN will provide care to medical surgical adult patients with sophisticated medical conditions that require close observation, monitoring, and interventions. This unique department has a mixture of Med/Surg and Intermediate Care patients. The unit consists of 24 Beds with a mixture of Med/Surg and Intermediate Care patients. Care Delivery: 3 patients per RN in IMC and 4-5 Med/Surg assignment. Our team is prepared to work with a variety of adult patient diagnoses including: Sepsis, Overdoses/Withdrawals, Spine Surgeries, Telemetry, Continuous IV Infusions of Anti-Dysrhythmic and Vasoactive Drugs, Complex Medication and Infusion Therapies, Pneumonia, Altered Mental Status (AMS), And more! As a Med Surg 5 IMC RN, you will be responsible and accountable for patient assessment, analysis, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention application, and the identification and evaluation of outcomes for patients of all ages and populations. You will also be responsible for performing the following responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
