About The Position

Quail Run Behavioral Health Hospital Phoenix is seeking a dynamic and talented Nurse Manager to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Nurse Manager assumes twenty- four hour responsibility for management, delivery and coordination of care for the assigned unit(s). This includes the assessment, planning, provision, and evaluation of patient care and nursing services for assigned nursing units. Consults with the Director of Nursing, staff, physicians, and other members of clinical administration on nursing problems and interpretation of facility policies to ensure that patient’s needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department(s) and participates in hospital wide PI initiatives. Responsible for mentoring RNs, LPNs, BHTs and other clinical staff as needed. Provides coverage as a nursing supervisor or staff nurse as assigned. Responsible for completing 90 day reviews and annual evaluations for each member of the assigned department. Complete time card reviews and staff education related to time management.

Requirements

  • Current RN license to practice nursing in Arizona or compact privileges.
  • One year experience in a supervisory nursing position.
  • Current CPR or BLS certification.
  • Nursing leadership experience required.
  • Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 12-65yrs+.
  • For our geriatric unit, 1 year of med/surge experience is strongly preferred.
