About The Position

This role provides leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), who is responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions within the hospital organization. The Registered Nurse Manager will assume responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a unit level. This role assumes 24/7 responsibility for the assigned areas and is accountable to support the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

Requirements

  • Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership ability.
  • Hospital operational ability.
  • Ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
  • 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
  • Active RN License
  • Basic Life Support
  • 2 years or more of progressive management experience as a manager or charge nurse
  • Active RN License in Massachusetts
  • More than 2 years of charge nurse or management experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree.
