About The Position

The Registered Nurse Manager Perioperative oversees the Perioperative, Pain and Wound Management department at Wauwatosa Ambulatory Center in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The role ensures regulatory and accreditation compliance, resolves issues affecting patient care delivery, and develops and implements policies and procedures for efficient and effective health services. The manager monitors the budget and expenditures and leads staff hiring, training, direction, counseling, development, and evaluation.

Requirements

• Wisconsin Board of Nursing Registered Nurse credential obtained before hire or job transfer, or a current home-state license if eligible under the multi-state/Compact State arrangement.
• BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
• Required professional licensure/certification.
• At least 3 years of experience.
• At least 1 year of cumulative leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance for self and within assigned unit(s).
• Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of patient care services in assigned unit(s).
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services.
• Monitor and adhere to the budget; approve or monitor expenditures, purchases, and other actions for budget compliance.
• Hire, train, direct, counsel, develop, and evaluate staff.
