About The Position

This position will be an OR circulator role that covers the Operating room, Endoscopy Suite and occasionally call for the OB department (c-sections). There will be call and holiday requirements. This role offers a collaborative, collegial environment with strong nurse-physician partnerships, the opportunity to sharpen rapid assessment and decision-making skills in a fast-moving OR setting, and autonomy to apply holistic, evidence-based nursing care across diverse patient populations. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
  • Registered Nurse
  • Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle
  • Up to 1 year Clinical in Nursing experience

Nice To Haves

  • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
  • ACLS/PALS may be required but is dependent on unit or department

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and document per guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and expected outcomes.
  • Provide safe, ethical, patient-centered care while supporting dignity, diversity, and autonomy.
  • Prioritize care based on patient condition and unit needs.
  • Safely administer medications and treatments; perform technical skills per policy.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.
  • Evaluate patient responses to care and revise plans in collaboration with the care team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Supervise delegated tasks and ensure quality care delivery.
  • Participate in organizational activities such as committees, staff meetings, and unit initiatives.
  • Support student learning and staff development; serve in leadership roles as needed.
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education and self-assessment.
  • Build collaborative, collegial relationships across the healthcare team.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for process improvement.
