About The Position

UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Per Diem Lung Acquisition Registered Nurse to join our Transplant Services team. The focuses on the duties related to the Lung transplant process and will include procurement call. Management for the designated transplant patient population includes independent patient assessment, triage, education, coordination of medical and nursing care, and documentation of care. Integral to the role is an understanding of the regulations and data requirements surrounding transplant care issued from the United Network of Organ Sharing and HRSA.

Requirements

• Two years of professional nursing experience, including clinical nursing expertise in lung transplant patient care.

• BSN

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the nursing care and coordination of the lung transplant patients.
• Systematically assesses the need for and the delivery of nursing services that meet patient care requirements, whether delivered directly or by the other nursing staff.
