Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) or LPN license required.
  • Current CPR Certification required.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and long-term care regulations.
  • Excellent clinical assessment, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to accurately document care and communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff.
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents and develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, IV therapy, and other nursing procedures in accordance with physician orders and current nursing standards.
  • Monitor resident conditions, document significant changes, and communicate with physicians, CRNPs, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide clinical guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Nurse Aides.
  • Coordinate admissions, discharges, and resident care transitions.
  • Ensure restorative and rehabilitative care plans are implemented and documented accurately.
  • Promote a safe environment by maintaining infection prevention standards and identifying safety concerns.
  • Respond appropriately to emergency and life-saving situations following established nursing protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with federal, state, and regulatory standards.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members while supporting Baptist Senior Family's mission and Culture of Wellness.
