Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) or LPN license required.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and long-term care regulations.
- Excellent clinical assessment, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to accurately document care and communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff.
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents and develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, IV therapy, and other nursing procedures in accordance with physician orders and current nursing standards.
- Monitor resident conditions, document significant changes, and communicate with physicians, CRNPs, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide clinical guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Nurse Aides.
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, and resident care transitions.
- Ensure restorative and rehabilitative care plans are implemented and documented accurately.
- Promote a safe environment by maintaining infection prevention standards and identifying safety concerns.
- Respond appropriately to emergency and life-saving situations following established nursing protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with federal, state, and regulatory standards.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members while supporting Baptist Senior Family's mission and Culture of Wellness.
