About The Position
Matrix Home Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for a private duty nursing opportunity in the Opa-locka area. This position is ideal for a nurse who enjoys one-on-one patient care in the home setting and has experience supporting higher-acuity patients. This is an immediate need with a day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM in a home care setting.
Requirements
- Active Florida Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license
- Vent and trach experience required
- Reliable transportation
- Strong clinical skills and documentation ability
- Dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused
- Under Florida law, this role is subject to background screening per Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, including fingerprinting and review for eligibility before employment.
Nice To Haves
- G-tube experience preferred
- Home care or private duty nursing experience preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in the home setting
- Monitor patient condition and report changes as needed
- Assist with trach, vent, and G-tube care as required
- Follow the patient’s plan of care
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Communicate professionally with the clinical team and family
