About The Position

The Wilmot Cancer Institute at Myers Cancer Center in Dansville is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with an interest in community oncology. This full-time position involves caring for patients throughout the continuum of cancer care, including chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and symptom management. The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment skills, be able to provide phone triage, and coordinate care for patients across the Wilmot catchment area. As part of a small team, the candidate must be able to work collaboratively, be flexible, and adapt readily to changing responsibilities. Requirements

Experienced RN
Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

Accountable for the provision of proficient patient care inclusive of complex patients.
Assumes an expanded charge nurse role and assumes unit responsibility for orientation for new staff.
May assume the role of care coordinator for a given group of patients, monitoring and evaluating patient care based on the unit standards of care.
Actively involved in unit/service activities, contributing to outcomes from those groups.
Caring for patients throughout the continuum of cancer care including chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and symptom management.
Provide phone triage to our patients.
Coordinate care for our patients across the Wilmot catchment area.
