Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for Level 2 Nursery/ Mother Baby areas in the Family Birthplace department. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available with no commitment or contract required. This role is part of the Transition to Practice/Nurse Residency Program, which welcomes both new graduate nurses and experienced nurses transitioning into this specialty. The program focuses on orientation and skill acquisition for practice in various women's health areas, including Labor & Delivery, Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum, Antepartum, Mother/Baby, or Nursery. For new graduates, this is the start of a comprehensive 6-month residency program. The program includes formal delivery of fundamental nursing concepts, exposure to Sentara policies and evidence-based practice guidelines, hands-on experience with a preceptor, peer networking opportunities, and virtual professional development sessions with mentoring (optional for experienced nurses).
