About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse assignment for Labor & Delivery in Los Angeles, California. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on October 12, 2026, with a shift of nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). The work setting is acute care, inpatient obstetric care. The weekly pay range is $2,675–$2,780 per week, with 0.0 guaranteed hours.

Requirements

Active RN license in the state of California (or eligibility to obtain) for practice.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a registered nurse licensure.
Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts; ability to work in a high-acuity inpatient obstetric setting.
Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical assessment skills.

Nice To Haves

Relevant Labor & Delivery (L&D) or obstetric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for obstetric patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Monitor maternal and fetal status; administer medications as prescribed; manage labor progression and pain management.
Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with multidisciplinary team.
Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in patient care.
Document care plans, assessments, and patient responses; ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort.
Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and discharge expectations; support postpartum recovery and newborn care education.
