About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent night shift position in Irving, TX. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to mothers and infants through high-stakes labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum stages.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN).
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or Compact State).
- Minimum 1.5 years of L&D or Antepartum RN experience (Level II or higher facility experience preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Nice To Haves
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (required within 30 days of hire/transfer).
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.
- Monitor, interpret, and document fetal heart patterns and maternal vital signs, initiating appropriate interventions immediately as needed.
- Collaborate closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal maternal-fetal outcomes.
- Educate patients and family members on the labor process, delivery options, and early postnatal/newborn care.
- Support and advocate for a unit-wide culture of safety, maintaining meticulous and compliant EHR documentation.
