About The Position

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled, compassionate care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate recovery. This role is essential in ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes for both mothers and newborns. Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – required within 6 months
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification – required within 6 months
• Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one (1) year of Labor & Delivery or relevant nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetrical patients during labor and delivery
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond to changes in condition
• Support patients and families throughout the childbirth and recovery process
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation
• Respond effectively to high-acuity and emergency situations
• Promote a safe, patient-centered care environment
