About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join our busy obstetrics department, providing high-quality care for women and their newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. This is a critical role in guiding patients through the childbirth and postpartum journey in a fast-paced environment caring for women and newborn infants after childbirth. Our unit is a team-oriented setting with strong interdisciplinary collaboration within a Critical Access Hospital.
Requirements
- Must be labor-trained
- Certifications: NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate or above)
Responsibilities
- Care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
- Perform triage and NSTs
- Serve as 2nd nurse at deliveries and manage overflow patients
- Collaborate with physicians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent, patient-centered care
- Support patients experiencing complications during pregnancy, birth, or recovery
