About The Position

This role is responsible for developing and overseeing programs, making recommendations, and acting as a resource for all nursing staff related to patient care and clinical standards, policies, and procedures. The position involves developing and documenting care plans and therapy programs, ensuring their implementation, and obtaining necessary resources or equipment. Additionally, the role includes investigating and reporting safety events and completing detailed chart reviews to identify quality indicators, followed by providing coaching and feedback to staff.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee program, making recommendations and acting as a resource for all nursing staff related to patient care and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
  • Develop and document care plans and therapy programs.
  • Oversee and ensure plan of care therapy program is implemented as indicated.
  • Ensure necessary resources and/or equipment is obtained as ordered.
  • Investigate and report safety events.
  • Complete detailed chart reviews to identify specific quality indicators.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to staff based on findings.
