About The Position

UW Medical Center - Montlake is seeking an Experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join their award-winning team. This role is at a quaternary care hospital with approximately 150 deliveries per month. A significant portion of OB patients (70%) are high-risk, requiring care for neonates and medically complex co-morbidities. The unit provides care for up to 14 antepartum patients, 9 L&D patients, and 18 postpartum mother/baby pairs, offering antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum services. Staffing adheres to AWHONN standards, and the hospital is a certified WHO-Baby Friendly Hospital. Outpatient services are also available if needed. UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center in Seattle with two campuses, Montlake and Northwest. It is recognized as the No. 1 hospital in Seattle and Washington State and is nationally ranked in seven specialties. The Montlake campus is located near the University of Washington campus, offering staff amenities and convenient public transit options.

Requirements

• One or more years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Washington or MSL.
• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for antepartum patients.
• Provide care for L&D patients.
• Provide care for postpartum mother/baby pairs.
• Provide outpatient services if needed.
