About The Position

We Are Hiring Location: Destin, FL Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast Department: Labor & Delivery Schedule: Nights | Full-time | 3 (12) hour shifts

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board ofNursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

at least one year of labor and delivery RN experience

Responsibilities

Provide highly specialized, direct nursing care to laboring patients and newborns in strict accordance with healthcare organization policies and obstetric safety protocols.
Implement and continuously evaluate individualized care plans, closely monitoring maternal vital signs, labor progression, and fetal heart rate patterns to ensure early intervention when necessary.
Accurately document all stages of labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, and proactively communicate critical patient condition updates to obstetricians, midwives, and pediatric teams.
Serve as the primary coordinator across clinical disciplines during delivery, and collaborate with the healthcare team to assess and manage postpartum education and safe discharge planning for the growing family.
