Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery/Postpartum - Night shift
About The Position
Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Labor and Delivery and Post-Partum unit. This is a full-time position requiring 36 hours per week, with night shifts from 1900 to 0730 and weekend rotation. The role involves providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, guiding assistive personnel, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The nurse will also contribute to safety outcomes and promote a high-quality patient experience. There is a requirement for on-call duties per unit requirements and potential float to Post-Partum Evanston Hospital.
Requirements
- Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
- BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required (American Heart Association)
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
Nice To Haves
- BSN strongly preferred
- 1 year of acute care nursing experience or 1 year labor and delivery/post-partum experience preferred
- Labor and Delivery/post-partum experience
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the LDRP
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
