About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery Specialty Float Pool, who will float across various locations in the Austin, TX Metro area. The schedule is rotating. The nurse will deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse specialty units, implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate patient care by serving as a communication link among healthcare team members, and meticulously record patient conditions, observations, and interventions.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Minimum of two years of recent acute care labor and delivery nursing experience demonstrating clinical competency across diverse, high-acuity patient populations.
Proven ability to successfully navigate and provide autonomous direct care in a multi-unit, float, or resource team environment.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse specialty units in adherence to all established organizational protocols.
Implement and continuously monitor patient care plans, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of physician and nursing orders.
Coordinate all aspects of a patient's journey by serving as the central link for communication and assessment among all disciplines within the healthcare team.
Communicate and meticulously record all patient conditions, observations, and interventions to ensure a seamless, well-coordinated care plan.
