About The Position
This position may be qualified for a sign-on bonus. The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery (L&D) directs nursing service activities and renders specialized professional nursing care to patients. The role involves treating patients and their families with courtesy and respect, fostering trust, and helping parents accept their parental responsibilities. This position supports medical care as directed by the medical staff and aligns with the hospital's objectives and policies, encompassing both direct and indirect patient care. Nacogdoches Medical Center is seeking a dedicated healthcare professional to join their team, offering a supportive work environment that fosters professional growth and work-life balance. The medical center has been serving the East Texas community for nearly 50 years, with service lines including obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, cancer care, neuroscience, and weight loss surgery.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
- Ability to treat patients and their families with courtesy and respect
- Ability to create a trusting attitude in parents towards nursing
- Ability to help parents accept their responsibility as parents
- Ability to support medical care as directed by medical staff
- Ability to adhere to objectives and policies of the hospital
Responsibilities
- Directs nursing service activities of the Labor and Delivery Department.
- Renders specialized professional nursing care to patients in Labor and Delivery.
- Treats patients and their families with courtesy and respect.
- Creates a trusting attitude in both parents towards nursing and helps them accept their responsibility as parents.
- Supports medical care as directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and policies of the hospital.
- Work encompasses direct and indirect patient care.
