About The Position

Registered Nurse needed for Labor & Delivery (L&D), Post Partum rooms, BFHI (Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative), and babies rooming in with moms. The unit averages 40 deliveries per month, with an average of 6 C-sections per month. The role may require covering as charge nurse on occasion after completing charge nurse training.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting.
• American Heart Association ACLS or ALSO certification.
• BLS certification.
• NRP certification.
• AWHONN Advanced FHM certification (RNC-EFM may be substituted).

Responsibilities

• Provide care in Labor & Delivery, Post Partum rooms, and support BFHI initiatives.
• Care for babies rooming in with mothers.
• Manage an average of 40 deliveries per month.
• Assist with an average of 6 C-sections per month.
• Potentially serve as charge nurse after training.
