About The Position

The L&D Registered Nurse shall provide nursing services, which may encompass outpatient and inpatient nursing services to Client patients. Apply knowledge of the nursing process to deliver individualized, goal-oriented care. Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care coordination and case management programs to adhere to current standards of care. The L&D RN collaborates with primary care providers, clinic nurses, public health nursing, case management, and social services to meet patient care needs efficiently and cost-effectively. Manage clinic visits, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nursing personnel, social workers, and physical therapists. Provide information to providers and assist in implementing treatment plans according to age-appropriate health maintenance needs. Administer prescribed oral medications, intramuscular injections, and intravenous medications as ordered by physicians. The RNWH coordinates maintains effective communication channels with other departments, nursing units, and tribal/community agencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Territory.
  • Minimum of 36 months of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in women's health.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
