About The Position

The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Follows established policies and procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians. Applies Cooper core values. Other duties as required. They provide 24-hour coverage, ensuring that IV services are always available, day or night, to meet the needs of patients throughout the hospital. Key services provided by the IV team include: peripheral IV insertions, PICC line insertions, and ultrasound-guided IV insertions. The IV team's role is pivotal in inpatient care across various departments of the hospital. Requirements

Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
Graduate of NLN-accredited School of Nursing
Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse)
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers)

Nice To Haves

Prior experience on an IV team or with vascular access is preferred
Prior ultrasound-guided IV insertion preferred
Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS)
