About The Position
CoxHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse IT Educator to join their Educational Services department. This PRN position will utilize adult learning principles to implement various teaching strategies for nursing and clinical staff. The role involves providing onboarding and ongoing electronic medical record (EMR) education, developing evidence-based curriculum to enhance staff understanding and utilization of the EMR, and managing education related to new technology implementations in clinical areas. The position is for the Day Shift with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Requirements
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing
- At least 2 years previous nursing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective leadership abilities
- Valuable time management skills
- Computer literacy skills
- Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
- RN license active in the state of Missouri
- Must complete department specific certifications within the designated time frame
Responsibilities
- Utilize adult learning principles to implement a variety of teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs, desired learner outcomes, content, and context.
- Provide onboarding and ongoing electronic medical record education for nursing staff and other clinical staff as needed.
- Develop evidence-based curriculum to improve staff understanding and utilization of the electronic medical record.
- Effectively manage education related to implementation of new technology in the clinical areas.
