About The Position
This is a per diem (as needed) position for a Registered Nurse in the Infant Special Care Unit (ISCU). The role involves providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care using the nursing process. The nurse will also guide unlicensed assistive personnel, collaborate with the healthcare team, and contribute to positive safety outcomes and patient experience. The position is located in Evanston, IL, with hours from 1900-0730 and 0700-1930, including some weekends. The nurse may also float to the Highland Park Nursery.
Requirements
- Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
- BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required (from AHA)
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- 2 plus years current ISCU/NICU experience required

Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the ISCU
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
