About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - IR/Neuro for a 13-week travel assignment in Evanston, IL. This role involves administering conscious sedation, monitoring patient vital signs, assisting radiologists during procedures, managing IV lines, conducting patient assessments, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the medical team to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • IR/Neuro experience +2 years, stroke, PE, lysis UFE, moderate sedation is required
  • RN, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certified
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • +3 years of IR/neuro experience preferred
  • BLS(AHA) is beneficial to have

Responsibilities

  • Administer conscious sedation and other medications to patients before and during procedures.
  • Monitor patient’s vital signs and patterns continuously during procedures to ensure stability.
  • Assist the radiologist by preparing sterile trays, passing guide wires, and handling other equipment during interventions.
  • Manage the insertion, maintenance, and removal of intravenous lines for the delivery of medication and contrast dye.
  • Conduct and document ongoing patient assessments, including physical examinations and reviews of laboratory results.
  • Educate patients and their families on the details of post-procedure care and recovery plans.
  • Perform comprehensive reviews of patient allergies, medical history, and prior physical assessment findings with the medical team.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to develop and implement a plan of care that optimizes patient outcomes.
