About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology for an exciting Travel or Local job in Hackensack, NJ. This role involves conducting comprehensive pre-operative admission assessments, performing IV placement and vascular access procedures, and providing post-operative recovery care in the PACU setting. The nurse will monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities also include administering medications safely using bar-scanning and electronic documentation, maintaining accurate electronic records, providing patient and family education, and coordinating multidisciplinary discharge planning. The position requires delivering evidence-based nursing care in adherence to established policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
  • Active New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or valid multi-state compact license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Telemetry Certification.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of general nursing experience.
  • At least 2 recent years of experience in critical care, pre-op, and Recovery/PACU environments.
  • Strong background in Telemetry.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • 3+ years of PACU experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care while adhering to established policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
