About The Position

Mercyhealth is actively seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN). The ideal candidate will possess experience in Interventional Radiology within a Level 1 Trauma Center environment. This role involves utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient care. Responsibilities include performing assessments, developing care plans, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes. The nurse will administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensure accurate documentation, and develop individualized patient care plans. Patient and family education, participation in performance improvement activities, and supporting patient care across various departments are also key aspects of this role. The position also emphasizes personal development, continuous learning, and participation in peer review processes.

Requirements

  • Current Illinois RN Licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
  • Experience in Interventional Radiology within a Level 1 Trauma Center environment
  • Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience
  • Cardiovascular intervention experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Responsibilities
