About The Position

This role involves rendering highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The Registered Nurse will provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Additionally, the nurse will direct and supervise other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care. Methodist Richardson Medical Center is a 443-bed, full-service, acute care hospital serving Richardson, Garland, Plano, and surrounding areas in Dallas and Collin counties. It is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and the nation’s first hospital to receive The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Pancreatic/Hepatic/Biliary Cancer Certification. The center also provides services at Methodist Richardson Medical Center – Campus for Continuing Care, which includes a behavioral health and addiction recovery unit, inpatient rehabilitation, long-term acute care, and more. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Current additional certifications as required by department
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
  • At least 6 months RN experience
