About The Position
This is a rewarding PRN/as needed nursing opportunity focusing on Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) within the psychiatry department. The role involves coordinating all aspects of ECT treatment, ensuring patient safety and education, and collaborating with psychiatrists and the care team. Responsibilities include patient and family education, ensuring assessments and consent forms are completed, coordinating with PACU staff for pre- and post-procedure care, obtaining insurance authorizations, and assisting in the delivery of ECT. The nurse will uphold the standards of the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies.
Requirements
- A current Missouri RN license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Active BCLS/BLS
- Flexibility to work varying hours based on ECT schedule & needs
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience in Critical Care or Behavioral Health
- Specialty RN Certification
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of ECT treatment with the psychiatrist and care team.

- Work closely with PACU staff to plan and manage pre- and post-procedure care.
