About The Position
Sentara Careplex in Hampton, VA is seeking a temporary full-time Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for their Medical/Surgical Unit. This 14-week assignment is for the NIGHT shift. The unit has a diverse patient population including CHF, Sickle Cell, Renal Failure, Diabetes, Vascular, Sepsis, COPD, Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis w/ Surgical Intervention, and Wound Care, with a specialty in Observation short stay patients (10 beds). Requirements
- Associates, Bachelors, or diploma in the Nursing Field required.
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- NIH stroke scale certification.
- Two or more years of current acute care hospital experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to a diverse patient population on a 20-bed Medical/Surgical Observation unit.
- Manage patients with conditions such as CHF, Sickle Cell, Renal Failure, Diabetes, Vascular issues, Sepsis, COPD, Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis with Surgical Intervention, and Wound Care.
- Specialize in the care of short-stay observation patients.
