Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS upon hire
Obtain ACLS within 30 days of hire
Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience

Responsibilities

Provide advanced direct nursing care and monitor complex care plans for critically ill patients, adhering to the highest ICU protocols and evidence-based practices.
Vigilantly assess, record, and communicate rapid changes in patient condition, utilizing advanced monitoring technology to ensure immediate intervention when necessary.
Serve as the primary coordinator for all specialties involved in critical care, expertly executing physician and nursing orders for ventilated, sedated, or hemodynamically unstable patients.
Strategically assess and coordinate discharge or step-down planning needs, ensuring a safe transition for the patient while maintaining ongoing advocacy for their recovery.
