Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS upon hire
  • Obtain ACLS within 30 days of hire
  • Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced direct nursing care and monitor complex care plans for critically ill patients, adhering to the highest ICU protocols and evidence-based practices.
  • Vigilantly assess, record, and communicate rapid changes in patient condition, utilizing advanced monitoring technology to ensure immediate intervention when necessary.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for all specialties involved in critical care, expertly executing physician and nursing orders for ventilated, sedated, or hemodynamically unstable patients.
  • Strategically assess and coordinate discharge or step-down planning needs, ensuring a safe transition for the patient while maintaining ongoing advocacy for their recovery.
