About The Position
Seeking Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This PRN (Work as Needed) position has varying shifts. The Intensive Care Unit is a 16-bed adult medical ICU providing specialized care for a variety of critically ill patients, including those with stroke, sepsis, shock states with or without multi-organ failure, and respiratory failure. New graduate RNs are welcome to apply.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required
- ACLS Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire)
- NIHSS Stroke Certification required (Obtained within 10 weeks of hire)
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous nursing experience required to hold a PRN position
Responsibilities
- Be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge
- Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers
