About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
Requirements
- Active Illinois nursing license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU with strong critical care skills.
- Experience with Epic software preferred.
- Complete a passed EKG test, resume, reference from the past year, skills checklist, and all active certifications upon submission.
Responsibilities
- Deliver critical care to patients with a focus on intensive monitoring and treatment.
- Float to other units including Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Universal Care Unit to care for medical-surgical patients.
- Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals.
- Manage and operate critical care equipment and devices like ventilators and balloon pumps.
