About The Position
The Registered Nurse is a professional practitioner who assesses, manages, directs, and provides nursing care activities during the patient's hospital stay and coordinates planning with other disciplines utilizing a patient/customer driven approach.

- Licensed to work as an RN in the state of Missouri
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration Or Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State

- Demonstrates ability to provide service needed for the age groups routinely served by the department assigned.
- Documents chargeable supplies and equipment used to provide care.
- Prioritizes responsibilities and completes work on time.
- Utilizes non-clinical time in a constructive manner, i.e. completing chart audits, .edu, mandatory education requirements.
Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive nursing assessment/reassessment.
- Establishes, coordinates and evaluates a plan of care based on analysis of assessment data, patient diagnosis, lab data, tests, procedures, physician orders, protocols and standards of care and other information as relevant.
- Provides and documents nursing interventions based on assessed patient needs, plan of care, and changes in patient status.
- Documents and or communicates nursing care and or changes in patient condition.
- Provides specialized care to patients at high risk for injury.
- Demonstrates accountability for own professional practice.
- Ability to relate to coworkers in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Performs job in accordance with safety and infection control policies.
- Provides service excellence to the customers of Saint Louis University Hospital by delivering timely, high quality care in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Incorporates Performance Improvement and Evidenced Based Practice into individual professional practice.
- Provides age-appropriate care to: Adult, Geriatric.
