Requirements

• Three years of professional nursing experience; and a bachelor’s degree in nursing, nursing education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university; or One year of professional nursing experience and a master's degree in nursing, nursing education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Nice To Haves

• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver orientation programs, evaluate employee progress, and develop lesson plans on health related topics
• Organize educational resources, schedule training sessions, and ensure staff receive required in service hours
• Teach nursing procedures, demonstrate new equipment, and provide guidance on nursing practice
• Maintain systems for storing training records, audits, and documentation related to educational activities
• Observe resident conditions, report changes, and document daily care information in approved records
