About The Position

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse for their Inpatient Surgical unit. This position offers a significant bonus of up to $15,000, with $7,500 for new graduate RNs. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. Professional performance standards encompass ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. The RN must possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet specific clinical area standards. All Direct Care RNs are required to have BLS within 90 days of hire. The primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of patients. The role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration to ensure optimal patient care. Requirements

  • RN Degree: RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN
  • RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia
  • BLS within 90 days of hire
