The Inpatient Oncology/Hematology Unit at Rochester General Hospital is an acute medical unit specializing in the care of patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions, gynecological cancers, and palliative care needs. We provide comprehensive, compassionate care for individuals undergoing treatment for cancers such as breast, lung, prostate, gynecologic, and blood-related malignancies, while managing complications like infection, pain, neuropathy, anemia, and chemotherapy-related side effects. In close collaboration with the Lipson Cancer Center, our patients benefit from access to cutting-edge oncology treatments, clinical trials, and multidisciplinary care from experts in medical and radiation oncology, surgery, and supportive services. Our team is committed to patient-centered, holistic care that addresses both medical and emotional needs, enhancing quality of life throughout every stage of treatment. The RN level will be determined at the time of hire based on the candidate’s qualifications and ability to meet Clinical Ladder requirements. An established compensation add-on is applied to each RN level.
