We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment and are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Medicine team. This is a permanent part-time position (0.2 FTE). The nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for individual patients/families, practicing according to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Hospital, and the patient service unit. The role also involves providing appropriate learning experiences for patients and families to promote wellness and achieve an optimal quality of life, while maintaining competence and developing professional nursing practice.

Requirements

  • Current Certification of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
  • Current CPR Certification (Essential)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills (Essential)
  • Demonstrated culturally sensitive approach to nursing care (Essential)
  • Demonstrated strong family centered care skills (Essential)

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years pediatric experience or other appropriate combinations of education and experience, along with the demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position, may be considered in lieu of stated education and experience (Preferred)
  • Baccalaureate Degree of Nursing (Preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/ French) (Preferred)

Responsibilities
