As a Registered Nurse (RN) at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care you will be called to care when you’re needed most. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) required
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation; willingness to travel.
  • One (1) year of professional experience practicing as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a hospice or similar setting preferred.
  • Nursing: 1 year (Required)
  • RN (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform admission assessments as appropriate.
  • Teach, supervise, and counsel the patient/ family members, and care providers regarding patient care, disease process, medication use and other related concerns the patient and family may have.
  • Contribute as a member of the team to identify needs for the plan of care.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of plan of care and participates in revision of plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physician.
