Join UW Health | Carbone Cancer Center, the only comprehensive cancer center in Wisconsin designated by the National Cancer Institute, as a Registered Nurse. This role is at the University Hospital in Madison, WI, on a 41-bed inpatient unit specializing in hematology, oncology, stem cell transplant, and palliative care. You will care for acutely ill patients undergoing complex treatments and therapies, including bone marrow, stem cell transplant, and cellular therapies (CAR T), as well as patients at end of life. The unit manages patients with leukemia, lymphoma, and solid tumor cancers, often dealing with complications like Graft-Versus-Host Disease. This position offers involvement in cutting-edge, evidence-based therapies and research, with opportunities for quality improvement initiatives and practice change leadership. The role provides formal education in hematologic malignancies, oncologic emergencies, stem cell transplant, palliative care, and chemotherapy certification, aiming to develop expertise as an oncology RN.
